Founded in 2009, Relaying Education Awareness for Life Empowerment (R.E.A.L.E) is a leading non-profit organization. Our mission is geared towards offering a variety of resources for individuals from all demographic and socio-economic statuses. As an organization, we understand that each person faces barriers and hurdles which may prevent one from reaching their highest potential. (R.E.A.L.E) embraces an "out of the box" approach in efforts to instill the confidence and self empowerment that is lacking in the American culture as a whole. Furthermore (R.E.A.L.E) recognizes the need for programs that will educate the public and reach a large audience. Our goal is to bridge the gap between the working professionals and their involvement in the community. (R.E.A.L.E) strives to provide programs which feature an interactive environment where each person is left with an experience they may take with them for years to come. In an effort to raise awareness of job opportunities in the Charlotte area, (R.E.A.L.E) presents “The R.E.A.L Empowerment Pen Series: Networking that Works”. The event is FREE and takes place every Wednesday from 6:30pm - 10pm at Loft 1523, which is located at 1523 Elizabeth Ave. Charlotte, NC. The event is hosted by Chris Jenkins of CharlotteVibe.com and Kirk Brown of the nonprofit organization (R.E.A.L.E). The R.E.A.L Empowerment Pen Series has been designed with your needs in mind! This networking event will assist in matching the employers of Charlotte and surrounding areas with like-minded professionals all under one roof. Facing the economic decline in our country, the state unemployment rate is increasing dramatically and employment opportunities are becoming scarce. Career fairs and employment seminars occur sporadically, but job seekers are looking for employment daily! The R.E.A.L Empowerment Pen Series provides the environment for companies to engage with job seekers in a relaxed and controlled atmosphere. Not only will this series be beneficial to job seekers, but also to the business owner and corporation by having the opportunity to gauge the highest number of ‘qualified’ prospects in the shortest amount of time. Both small and large businesses can benefit from this series by having the opportunity to present their business to the Charlotte general public--potentially increasing the employee-prospect base and gaining new clientele.
